Happy Birthday to me!

I had a great birthday yesterday. Woke up and had presents. Wonderful gifts thank you! Went out for breakfast with Joe, then went shopping at a beautiful book shop. We went to an art shop to buy some printing supplies and then went home as it was starting to heat up.
I don't know if you've heard about the heat wave but it has been gross. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were all over 43 degrees. Mostly being 44. I've never been in heat like that before! It was a little intense. I'm so incredibly pleased its cooled down now to 30 degrees so we can sleep again. We went to the movies on Friday night (role models... it was great!) just to have airconditioning.
But yeah so we came home to avoid the sun and watched a movie. I napped a little.
After the movie we went into town to get some drinks for the evening, and then came home.
We got pizza for dinner, it was yum and watched the end of the womens australian open finals. Strong women!
We watched mean girls which i hadn't seen in over 6 months. It was great. Jacylyn and i laughed the whole way through it.
As you can see from above we also had some delicious pink lady cake goodness.
I really had a fantastic birthday, and have had a great weekend.

purchases...

Joseph and i have our own one bedroom place to move into in St Kilda so we bought some cute things from an opshop a couple of weeks ago...

Petey the Pirate wasn't an opshop buy... i actually bought him last year in November i think, but he's just too cool and i don't think i've shown him before.
We also got some cutlery.
We're going to go again next Saturday to treasure hunt. I was going to yesterday, had big plans but it was still quite warm and i didn't feel like trekking around.

Tennis....

I was very lucky to get 2 free tickets from work for last sunday night for the tennis. We had an awesome match with Jelena Dokic in it. It was just such a fun night.

In the photo below, i've circled Jelena Dockic's (the blonde girl, who plays for australia but is actually serbian...) coach and boyfriend. They were pretty funny to watch. (they're brothers)
